Leaves are very good for compost. Although, I'd think that anyone who composts much would have a yard and therefore their own leaves. I'm sure someone (maybe a few someones) will take him/her up on the offer.

Oh, I agree.
I've done it too many times and I undersand why he'd like to get them to come, rake them up and take them away.
It's just that you usually pay people to do that.

I'm glad you qualified that, she would be good compost for thistles and thorns but not for anything edible.
